With the so-called MetaMask Bridges feature, users can now find new routes to move their tokens from one chain to another, a press release says.
Initially launched in beta version, the feature currently supports 1:1 bridging of up to $10,000 per transfer of ETH/WETH, stablecoins and native gas tokens across Ethereum, Avalanche, Polygon and BNB Chain (formerly Binance Smart Chain).
During the beta test, MetaMask won't charge transaction fees for bridging altcoins. The wallet is also considering expanding to Layer 2 chains like Arbitrum and Optimism, but no timeframe has been provided.
