According to pool operator SolBlaze, over 20% of stake weight on Solana's mainnet has been delinquent, with thousands of validators offline. As of press time, Hetzner made no official statement regarding the matter.

In August, a spokesperson for the Gunzenhausen-based company said during a Q&A on Reddit that using our products for any application related to mining, even remotely related, is not permitted. The limitations include not only software for proof-of-work networks, but also for proof-of-stake and so on.

Hetzner was also the second data center in terms of deployed Ethereum nodes on it. The platform had around 460 Ethereum nodes running on it until the company barred service for blockchain companies.
