Compass Mining, a provider of crypto mining equipment and services, has just signed an agreement to host approximately 9,000 cryptocurrency mining devices with data center operator Aspen Creek Digital.
Compass Mining will reportedly have access to 27MW of a total 30MW at the Aspen Creek facility in Texas. The data center is powered by a solar power plant.

The company has reported it will begin deploying ASIC miners, including Bitmain's Antminer S19 XP and S19j Pro, before the end of the year.
Thomas Heller, co-founder of Compass Mining, has said:
"ACDC’s pairing of cost effective, renewable energy with mining operational excellence is difficult to find in today’s current market."
Hosting provider Dynamics Mining terminated its mining hosting agreement with Compass Mining in June, citing non-payment of invoices.
