Uniswap Labs, the firm behind decentralized cryptocurrency exchange Uniswap, is in talks with a pool of investors to raise an equity round of $100 million to $200 million, TechCrunch has learned, citing two sources close to the matter. With the funding, the firm estimates its valuation at $1 billion.

However, it is unclear who will participate in the funding as the talks are still ongoing. According to the report, at least Polychain and one of Singapore's sovereign funds are considering investments. As of press time, Uniswap Labs made no official statement regarding the matter.
In April, Uniswap Labs launched its separate investment arm called Uniswap Labs Ventures, which uses its capital to fund Web3-related companies, from infrastructure to developer tools and consumer-facing applications.
