Attackers Hack Indian Exchange's Twitter Account to Distribute Fake XRP Ads

A group of unknown hackers hacked on September 20 the Twitter account of Indian cryptocurrency exchange CoinDCX and placed fake Ripple (XRP) ads with phishing links.

The attackers have reportedly been retweeting official messages from Ripple Labs CEO Brad Garlinghouse to trick the exchange's subscribers and also distributed links under various tweets on crypto-related topics.

Currently, more than 230,000 people follow CoinDCX's main Twitter account.

CoinDCX customer support has informed users the account has been compromised.
