Fidelity Plans to Offer Bitcoin Trading to its Retail Clients

Investment firm Fidelity Investments has just announced it intends to offer the retail clients of its brokerage division the ability to trade Bitcoins, The Wall Street Journal has reported citing informed sources.

The firm currently offers several crypto ETFs as well as cryptocurrency trading and custody services to institutional clients.

Mike Novogratz, CEO of Galaxy Digital, has said:

"A bird told me that Fidelity, a little bird in my ear, is going to shift their retail customers into crypto soon enough."

Company representatives have said:

"While we have nothing new to announce, expanding our offerings to enable broader access to digital assets remains an area of focus."

Fidelity's brokerage division serves 34 million customers.
