Galaxy Digital and Genesis Executives to Launch a Cryptocurrency Fund

A group of executives from Galaxy Digital, Genesis and Convex Trading has just filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) an application to register the DBA Crypto Fund I LP, a $500 million fund to invest in cryptocurrencies.

It should be noted that the company has not yet raised funds.

The general partners of the structure are Michael Jordan, co-chairman of Galaxy Digital Investments, Joshua Lim, director of Genesis Derivatives, Roshun Patel, former vice president of trading at Genesis, and Shane Barratt, CEO and co-founder of Convex Trading.

Axios has noted the fund will be led by specialists from companies affected by the collapse of Terra and the problems of crypto fund Three Arrows Capital.

In July it became known Three Arrows Capital owed $2.36 billion to Genesis Trading.
