US crypto exchange Coinbase has just received approval from Italy's regulator, the Organismo Agenti e Mediatori (OAM), to offer digital asset-related services to the country's residents.

As reported on the platform's website, the OAM's new requirements oblige all companies offering crypto trading or storage services to meet regulatory criteria for working with Italian clients.
Coinbase has added it is strengthening its position in the European market, while it is in the process of obtaining or applying for licenses from EU regulators.
