Hong Kong-based cryptocurrency firm Animoca Brands has raised $75.3 million from Liberty City Ventures, Kingsway Capital, Alpha Wave Ventures, and others. The company said it will use the proceeds to fund strategic acquisitions, investments, and advance the open metaverse.

Animoca Brands Co-Founder, Yat Siu, noted that digital property rights represent a "society-defining generational shift that impacts everyone online and will set the stage for the emergence of the open metaverse." He added:
"We are deeply honored to continue to enjoy strong support from investors as we work to solidify the leadership position of Animoca Brands in the Web3 industry and in the field of true digital ownership."
With the latest investment round, the total funding amount surpassed the $600 million mark. As of press time, Animoca Brands acquired over 20 organizations, including Eden Games and TinyTap.
