Ethereum Fell by Almost 50% in June

The price of Ethereum, the second largest cryptocurrency in the market by market cap, fell by 44.8% in June and by the end of the quarter by 67.3%.

During the same period, Bitcoin lost 37.3% of its value, while the drop has risen to 56% during the second quarter of the year.

Bitfinex's Terra Classic and TerraClassicUSD, Stratis, Chia, Bitfinex's Trust Wallet Token and Unus Sed Leo have enjoyed positive performance.

The worst performers have been Voyager Digital, Harmony and Convex Finance, which have been targeted by hackers. The Lido protocol digital asset (LDO), the issuer of the synthetic asset stETH, which has lost its link to ETH, has also shown negative dynamics.

At the end of June, all DeFi tokens in the top 20 by capitalization were in the red zone, a trend that has been observed for the third month in a row.
