Fintech company Ripple has just announced the opening of its first office in Canada. In particular, the company has opened an office in Toronto.
Ripple reportedly plans to initially hire 50 engineers for the new office.
Other goals of the company are to expand its staff to hundreds of blockchain developers, as well as specialists in the fields of machine learning and data.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has said:
"Crypto and blockchain present an incredible opportunity for engineers to tackle difficult problems, with the potential for these solutions to impact the movement of value around the world."
Ripple has noted that it continues to hire specialists despite the fact that many companies in the industry have started to reduce their workforces or suspended their expansion.
