VeChain has just announced it is to become the official blockchain partner of the UFC, the US mixed martial arts league.
The partnership reportedly involves the integration of brands within sports events and broadcasts.
Through the agreement, VeChain will receive "integrations on key UFC assets." The company's logo will be placed on the octagon canvas, as well as signage that will appear on the league's digital and social channels, including television broadcasts.

According to the press release:
"Through the UFC's global presence VeChain will increase brand awareness to nearly 900 million TV households across more than 170 countries."
The financial terms of the deal have not been disclosed. However, according to Sports Business Journal sources, the deal amounts to nearly $100 million over a minimum five-year period.
VeChain is behind the VeChainThor blockchain platform, focused on commercial applications.
The price of VET, the project's native token, has reacted positively to the news, rising to $0.032 yesterday. It is currently trading at $0.030.
