Crypto ATM Installation Rate Fell in May to 2019 Levels

According to Coin ATM Radar, 202 new cryptocurrency ATMs were installed in the world in May, being the last time the indicator was at such low values in 2019.

The slowdown in device installations started in January. However, in June the trend changed to positive: during the first days of the month, 863 have been installed.

There are currently 37,836 devices worldwide. In terms of countries, the United States ranks first, as 87.9% of the total number of cryptocurrency ATMs are concentrated there.

The largest provider is Genesis Coin, which holds 41% of the market. It is followed by General Bytes (21.6%), BitAccess (16%) and Coinsource (5.4%).

The top 10 operators operate more than half of the operational cryptocurrency ATMs (70%). The leaders, Bitcoin Depot, CoinCloud and CoinFlip, share more than 9% of the total.
