Changpeng Zhao, CEO of crypto exchange Binance, has said the exchange is ready to work closely with cryptocurrency trading platforms in Malaysia to accelerate the adoption of digital assets in the country.

He has highlighted during the conference Crypto Market Trends and Future Opportunities the importance of compliance. According to CZ, Binance's plan is to "become global by going local."

Zhao has added:

"We need some guidelines to operate in, and we would very much like to work with our partners and regulators to shape that together. Protecting users costs a lot of money in the short term, but in the long run it will be a big win."

Trading platform MX Global has acted as one of the partners in Malaysia. In March, the company announced Binance had invested in it.

The platform CEO Fadzli Shah has added during the conference the partnership will allow MX Global to accelerate growth and adoption not only through funding, but also through "technology and talent transfer."
