Ling Zhang and Wayne Fu, former Binance executives, have created Old Fashion Research, a $100 million multi-strategy fund.
The metaverse-focused structure will also reportedly promote digital assets in emerging economies.
Lin Zhang has previously held the position of vice president of investments and M&A at Binance. In addition, she has been behind the collaboration with FTX, WazirX, Swipe.io, Multicoin Capital, Tokocrypto, Chiliz and Certik.

Notably, the structure is backed by Xin (JX) Jiang, who has led Binance Labs and Launchpad's investments in Axie Infinity, Moonbeam, Alpha Finance and other projects.
Wei Zhou, former Binance CFO, will act as a strategic advisor to the fund.
Old Fashion Research has received support from unnamed venture capital funds, family offices and business angels.
