Premium brand Balenciaga has just announced that its customers in the US and on its online platform now have the ability to pay with cryptocurrencies, WWD has reported.
Initially, the fashion house will start accepting Bitcoin and Ethereum, however, it plans to expand the list of supported currencies and regions.

It should be noted the company has not yet chosen the payment service for the implementation of the option.
The company has said regarding the volatility of digital assets:
"Balenciaga is thinking long-term about crypto, and fluctuations in currency value are nothing new."
Gucci, another fashion house of the Kering group, has previously launched a pilot project to accept payments in digital currencies in the United States. As part of this, customers can pay in Bitcoin, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Litecoin as well as other currencies.
