BitMEX Launches Spot Trading of Cryptocurrencies

Crypto exchange BitMEX, which is a popular crypto futures operator, has launched spot trading, The Block has reported.

The exchange hopes to attract retail customers in this way. BitMEX representatives have said:

"It is completely different from our classic look and feel."

The company has said it expects to become one of the top 15 largest spot exchanges within 12 to 16 months.

BitMEX users can spot trade Bitcoin, Ether, the APE token from the NFT Bored Ape Yacht Club project and the UNI token from the decentralized exchange Uniswap.

Trading is conducted in pairs with the stablecoin USDT.

BitMEX will set a fixed commission of 0.1% for trades of less than $100,000.
