Binance Warns Turkish Users About Fake Advertisements

The Turkish division of crypto exchange Binance has warned investors about the spread of false advertising on billboards on the country's streets.

According to the announcement:

"Lately, billboards similar to the image below have appeared in different regions of Turkey."

The exchange has added to the posting a photo of one of the billboards in question. It shows the exchange's logo, phone numbers with Turkey code, tickers of popular cryptos and Arabic text.

The company has assured the information contained in these billboards "has nothing to do with Binance." Moreover, the exchange has added it intends to take action against people "who are clearly involved in fraudulent activities."

The company launched the Binance TR division back in 2020. Next, Changpeng Zhao, the company's CEO, said Turkey is one of the leading countries in terms of the dynamics of implementation of blockchain solutions and a key market for the global economy.
