The majority of creators on Patreon still don't like the idea of crypto payments as over 40% of respondents said during a recent survey they're against crypto payments. According to the published results, about 30% of creators don't care about cryptocurrencies. The remaining 18% said it would be "nice to have" crypto payments and 9% revealed it would be crucial to them.

Patreon says it'll continue doing its due diligence in evaluating "what opportunities and pitfalls" Web3 apps may hold for creators:
"We're not in the business of doing something new just because it sounds cool. Now and in the future, our north star is intentionally building technology that drives long-term value for creators."
Other insights showed that video remains the dominant creative medium (38%) among creators that use Patreon for monetization, following writing (17%) and podcasting (14%).
For the poll, Patreon surveyed over 13,000 creators from 113 countries, in 18 languages. The San Francisco-based company added that it'll now take a look at a set of new features, including one-time tipping, gift memberships, a native video player, and others.
