Elon Musk, CEO of electric car maker Tesla CEO, has proposed reducing the cost of Twitter Blue subscriptions and allowing users to pay for the premium service in Dogecoin.

Musk has initiated a series of tweets stating the need to give each Twitter Blue subscriber an "authentication checkmark." He has also pointed out that the platform should stop advertising, as this "enhances the power of corporations to dictate policy."

A user has asked Twitter to introduce a regional pricing policy because the $3 subscription fee is too high for some countries. Elon Musk has said on that:

"Yes, should be proportionate to affordability & in local currency - Maybe even an option to pay in Doge?"

The Twitter Blue subscription is available in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
