Line, the Japanese operator of the popular messaging service with the same name, has just announced it intends to launch a marketplace for NFTs next April 13, 2022.
According to the statement shared by the company, the platform, known as LINE NFT, has been developed based on the company's own LINE Blockchain network.

The users of the platform will reportedly be able to store their assets in the BITMAX wallet.
Coinciding with the launch, more than 100 NFTs from the collections of 17 partner creators will be presented. They will include Yoshimoto Kogyo, Japan's largest entertainment conglomerate, which will offer unique videos from artists.
As part of the platform's marketing campaign launched today, the company will distribute some of the digital collectibles for free.
NFTs are apparently expected to be used as avatars, prizes and other use cases in the messaging ecosystem in the future.
