Mark Zuckerberg, founder and CEO of Meta (formerly known as Facebook), has said during the SXSW conference that the popular social network Instagram plans to integrate non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to him, the NFTs minting feature could come to Instagram "in the coming months." However, Zuckerberg has not given an exact date for the integration of this new functionality.

It is worth noting there have previously been reports about the possibility of the social network allowing the creation of NFT-based avatars.
