Although WMG did not specify on new projects with Splinterlands, it said that the both companies will produce mobile-friendly, accessible games to bring wider adoption of play-to-earn games. This is not the first time WMG is trying to join the blockchain market.

What is more is that Warner reportedly participated in a $11.2 million investment round in Dapper Labs, the company behind popular blockchain game CryptoKitties, with the aim to take part in the launch of Flow, the firm's new blockchain.
