OpenSea Taps Metalink to Improve Client Support

OpenSea, a marketplace for non-fungible tokens (NFTs), has entered into a partnership with Metalink, an NFT-focused platform for chatting, to enhance its client support. According to a blog post, with the latest partnership OpenSea expects to get secure channels of communication to NFT communities.

"OpenSea will be partnering with Metalink as we seek to engage more deeply with the NFT ecosystem. Starting today, there will be a dedicated OpenSea server in the collection menu on Metalink," said Stevey Tromberg, Head of Community at OpenSea.

The marketplace plans to open access to Metalink gradually starting with owners of collections Cryptopunks, Bored Apes, World of Women, Cool Cats, Doodles, Cyberkongz, with more collections in the coming months.

In January, marketplace OpenSea completed a Series C funding round in which it had raised a total of $300 million, resulting in the company's valuation reaching $13 billion. The company reportedly originally planned to reach a valuation of $15 billion, however, investors settled on a lower figure.
