The largest DEX on the Binance Smart Chain also did not explain what is the reason behind the changes. In September 2021, the other decentralized aggregator of liquidity 1inch also started blocking access to US users based on IP addresses. The company's chief communications officer Sergey Maslennikov said the decision was made as the developers were working on a new product specifically for the US. He did not explain though why the platform chose the path of blocking users instead of letting them using the both versions of the trading platform.
