OnlyFans, a subscription-based social media platform for adult content, has added support for NFT profile pictures, Reuters reports. The company's head, Ami Gan, said the feature is the "first step in exploring the role that NFTs can play on our platform." Gan added:

"Our mission is to empower creators to own their full potential."

The UK-based company said it only supports NFTs minted on the Ethereum blockchain. However, it did not explain if it uses OpenSea like Twitter does for its verification purposes. As iHodl earlier reported, Twitter Blue Labs, a premium subscription service, launched early access to NFT profile pictures for users with iOS devices. Users can link their Ethereum wallets to Twitter accounts to verify non-fungible tokens (NFTs) as profile avatars.

Meanwhile, YouTube is also exploring how it can use Web3 and blockchain projects in 2022 for its content creators. YouTube's Chief Product Officer, Neal Mohan, wrote in a blog post that the company wants to find out how the new technologies like blockchain and NFTs can allow creators "to build deeper relationships with their fans."
