Hackers have stolen $15 million worth of Ether from Crypto.com, cybersecurity company PeckShield has said. The firm's experts believe the attackers are laundering 4,600 ETH using the crypto mixer Tornado Cash. At the same time, Crypto.com representatives have assured that customers' funds are safe:
"We have a small number of users reporting suspicious activity on their accounts. We will be pausing withdrawals shortly, as our team is investigating. All funds are safe."
A few hours later, Crypto.com asked its users to log in to their accounts and reset their two-factor authentication (2FA) settings.

On Monday, Crypto.com suspended withdrawals, citing user reports of suspicious activity on their accounts. Withdrawals resumed 14 hours later.
The service's CEO, Kris Marszalek, has subsequently noted customer assets were not affected as part of the incident. The Crypto.com chief added the company has strengthened the infrastructure, making it more secure. The service is investigating the incident.
