Founded by Jack Dorsey Block, Inc. (former Square) is looking for Custom Digital Design Lead to help it with development of the next generation of bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) mining ASIC. According to a job post, the candidate will participate with other digital designers in synthesis, place & route, timing closure, CDC, LINT, and DFT.

A successful candidate should have BSEE degree with 10+ years of experience, understanding of the full design cycle from RTL to GDSII, and physical design flow.

First reports about Block targeting the ASIC market came out in October 2021, when Jack Dorsey tweeted tat the company was studying the possibility of developing cryptocurrency mining devices. Dorsey highlighted the need for greater accessibility and decentralization of bitcoin mining.
