Bloomberg has calculated the fortune of Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao at $96 billion. As a result, the CEO of the trading platform has become the richest man in the world of cryptocurrencies.

The second place is taken by Indian business tycoon Mukesh Ambani ($92.9 billion).

Bloomberg representatives have admitted the fortune of the Binance CEO could be even higher, as he owns other crypto assets: the publication's estimate is based on the value of Binance, in which Zhao presumably owns a 90% stake.

Binance generated nearly $20 billion in revenue over the past year, according to Bloomberg. That's roughly five times the projected figure for Coinbase, the largest US cryptocurrency exchange.
