A new decentralized organization called the Gas DAO is distributing GAS tokens to anyone who spent over $1,559 in fees on the Ethereum network. According to an announcement, over 57,000 addresses have already claimed the airdrop. However, as of press time, there are 36,805 addresses hodling GAS with fully diluted market capitalization of $110.6 million.

"Gas DAO's purpose is simple: to be the voice of the Ethereum network's active users through on and off-chain governance, launched as a decentralized autonomous organization with a free and fair initial distribution 100x bigger than the original DAO," the announcement says.
All the tokens unclaimed before May 1, 2022, will be added to the DAO's treasury. It also seems that the project codebase has nothing to do with creativity as users found that "very little (if any) of the code is unique, meaning that it may have taken as little as an hour or two to create."
As iHodl earlier reported, BlockbusterDAO, a decentralized organization, wants to rebrand Blockbuster, an American-based provider of video rental services, as a streaming service. The organization plans to raise $5 million through a sale of NFTs each priced at 0.13 ETH. The DAO says the franchise has been "low-balled" at $1.8 million. However, the group says the price tag is going to be higher to beat out any counter-offers.
