Cryptocurrency wallet Phantom focused on Solana's ecosystem decided not to pursue its initiative to sell 7,000 NFTs so that the owners of the tokens could get early access to the iOS app. The company behind the project wrote on Twitter it will be changing its approach to how Phantom distributes iOS beta invites.

"We never meant to alienate anyone and never intended on profiting from the auction in any way. The purpose of the Dutch Auction was to let the community find a fair price for the invite," the company said.
Phantom also announced it will be handing out free 1,000 invites over the next week to join the beta. While no release date was revealed, the company says the wallet is just a few weeks away from launching the mobile beta. A version for Android is also reportedly in development.
Earlier in December, Opera announced a partnership with Solana Labs to add support for the Solana blockchain and Solana dApps in Q1, 2022. The namesake company behind the browser said that Solana's technology will help onboard more people to Web3 and DeFi.
