GameStop Launches Waitlist for NFT Marketplace

GameStop, a gaming merchandise retailer, has updated a subdomain for its upcoming marketplace of non-fungible tokens. The so-called GameStop NFT Marketplace already opened a waitlist for NFT-artists and creators.

The website also features an address of a smart contract that will issue the gamestop (GME) tokens. However, no timeframes for the launch were given. At the time of writing, the company made no official statements about the NFT marketplace.

Robinhood Restricts Trading in GameStop amid Volatility Surge

First reports about GameStop efforts in the NFT space started circulating back in May. The subdomain demonstrated the Ethereum logo as well as a link to a smart contract with the Game On Anon text in its source code.
