Instagram's Mosseri Says Social Network is Exploring NFTs

Instagram is "actively exploring" the addition of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) on its platform. According to Instagram CEO, Adam Mosseri, the company is trying to find out how it can bring the new technology to a broader audience.

"Nothing to announce yet but we are definitely actively exploring NFTs and how we can make them more accessible to a wider audience," Mosseri said in an AMA.

However, the Instagram CEO did not specify when exactly the social network may get the new feature. Earlier in September, Android Tech Lead at Twitter Spaces, Mada Aflak, revealed that the company is working on a new feature that allows users to put their NFTs in an avatar

The published demo demonstrated support of a new feature on Android devices. It remains unclear if Twitter plans to launch the feature for both iOS and Android devices at the same time.
