Opera, a multi-platform web browser, has announced a partnership with Solana Labs to add support for the Solana blockchain and Solana dApps in Q1, 2022. The namesake company behind the browser said in a press release that Solana's technology will help onboard more people to web3 and DeFi.

"Opera will bring direct access to Solana to its hundreds of millions of users, Solana will first be integrated into Opera for Android," the announcement says.
In addition to Solana, the Opera browser for Android now supports Web3 technologies with ether (ETH), bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), TRON (TRX), and celo (CELO). Earlier in October, Opera announced plans to add support for NEAR Protocol to its native cryptocurrency wallet called Opera Touch. The integration allows users to send transactions 1000+ times cheaper than on the Ethereum network.
The partnership comes just a day after the Solana network allegedly suffered a DDoS attack. While the Solana Foundation did not publicly acknowledge the attack, users found that the network was overloaded with an attack that have clogged the network causing delays.
