Venture capital firm Pantera Capital has attracted a total of $600 million for a new fund aimed at investing in cryptocurrency startups, The Information reports.

According to the publication, 75% of this amount has been provided by institutions.

The high participation of these contrasts with the launch of previous structures, which were mainly funded by representatives of the venture capital sector.

According to sources, Pantera Capital expects funds raised for its fourth fund to reach $1 billion by March 2022.

At the end of October, the company had a total of $6.4 billion in assets under management (AUM).

In November, Pantera competitor Paradigm announced the launch of a new $2.5 billion venture fund.

In June, Andreessen Horowitz, another venture capital firm, rolled out a third crypto fund of $2.2 billion.
