Alchemy Reveals API for NFT Devs

Ethereum API provider Alchemy has announced the launch of an API that allows creators and owners of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) to integrate the assets into existing platforms. The company said in an announcement the API gives blockchain developers access to all the information they need about NFTs and their metadata.

"Fetching even the most in-demand properties of an NFT, like it is image, forces developers to dig deep into the specifics of thousands of smart contracts and build mountains of custom logic and infrastructure," Alchemy said.

Alchemy Contributes to Crypto.com Chain Dev Platform

With the API, users can also verify NFT ownership or inspect an asset's transfer history. The new feature comes after Alchemy raised $250 million, bringing the company's valuation at $3.5 billion. The round was led by Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) with other investors, including Coatue, Addition, DFJ, and Pantera. The latest fundraising brings the company's valuation at $3.5 billion.
