Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has joined the meme coins craze by listing shiba inu (SHIB) on its platform. In addition to SHIB, Gemini also added support for other tokens like audius (AUDIO), mask network (MASK), wrapped centrifuge (wCFG), quant (QNT), radicle (RAD), fetch AI (FET), numeraire (NMR), and API3 (API3).

"We believe these tokens will provide value to our users and will continue to support DeFi, the budding metaverse, decentralized infrastructure, and data management environments," the exchange said.

However, it seems that the exchange is facing criticism for indulging in the meme craze. Users say the exchange is solely on the path of commercialization, and not of responsible trading as people "will lose money chasing these meme coins," tweeted a user Tae Ham. Gemini is not the only exchange to face a flurry of criticism for listing "meme coins." For example, Coinbase recently also listed SHIB. The public cryptocurrency exchange has also been criticized for indulging in meme trades.
