Rolling Stone Magazine Launches NFT Covers in Association with Bored Ape Yacht Club

US music and pop culture magazine Rolling Stone has released NFT covers in collaboration with the Bored Ape Yacht Club project.

The tokens are being auctioned on the NFTs marketplace SuperRare. The auction will be open until November 16.

At the moment, the highest bid for the Rolling Stone x Bored Ape Yacht Club Cover is 12.1 ETH (about $56,700), while for the Rolling Stone x Mutant Ape Yacht Club Cover it is 4 ETH (approximately $18,700).

In March, New York Times journalist Kevin Roose sold his column on non-fungible tokens as an NFT for 350 ETH (about $562,000 at the time of the transaction).

In August, the NFT cover of US business magazine Fortune was sold for 429 ETH (more than $1.3 million).

In September, TIME released a new collection of 4,676 non-fungible tokens, granting "unlimited access" to its site until 2023. Each NFT was sold for 0.1 ETH and the sale ended within minutes.

In October, Yuga Labs' Bored Ape #8585 token was sold for 696,969 ETH (about $2.7 million at the exchange rate at the time the sale was made).
