The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has approved the applications filed by VanEck and Valkyrie Investments (SEC) to launch Bitcoin ETFs. The instrument is scheduled to begin trading next October 25.

The underlying asset of the product will be Bitcoin futures on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME). The fund's shares will be traded under the ticker XBTF on the Cboe BZX platform. The company will charge a management fee of 0.65%.

The SEC has also approved the launch of Valkyrie Investments' Bitcoin futures-based exchange-traded fund.

The Valkyrie Bitcoin Strategy ETF will start trading on October 22 under the ticker BTF.

The trading of the ProShares Bitcoin futures-based ETF began on October 19 on the New York Stock Exchange.
