Wix, a cloud-based web hosting and design services, has entered into a partnership with BitPay, a bitcoin payments provider. According to a press release seen by iHodl, Wix will include a new payment option on its eCommerce platform, allowing customers to pay for services with bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) and other 11 cryptocurrencies, supported by BitPay.

"With BitPay, Wix merchants have access to a whole new market of customers who prefer to pay with Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies and an avenue for their business to tap into the growing cryptocurrency market," said Omer Shatzky, Head of Billing and Payments at Wix.
At first, the new feature will be available to Wix merchants and customers in the US, UK, Brazil, Australia, Canada and Germany. Previously, BitPay signed an agreement with Verifone to expand cryptocurrency payments on Verifone's in-store and eCommerce Cloud Services platforms all around the United States. The integration allows business to accept cryptocurrencies via Blockchain.com, BRD, MetaMask, BitPay.
