According to a press release seen by iHodl, the partnership will allow organizations to leverage custody solutions in order to interact with the decentralized finance (DeFi) space.
"Each of these strategic partnerships respond to different needs of organizations, from small crypto startups and DAOs to multi-billion dollar crypto funds," MMI said in the announcement.
Mike Belshe, CEO of BitGo, says many of the firm's institutional clients "are interested" in actively participating as the DeFi ecosystem matures. MMI is expected to continue announcing new integrations of additional custodians soon. The partnership comes after MetaMask surpassed the 10 million mark of monthly active users. Since July 2020, MetaMask has reportedly grown over 1,800% in one year up to 10,354,279 users.
