The Orbs Network is getting bigger and better and is now expanding on to the Avalanche network. Orbs has now spread its roots further into the blockosphere making this the fifth major collaboration following Ethereum, BSC, Polygon and Solana.
The goal of the blockchain realm is to enter a state of mainstream adoption, and integration between networks is the surest way to achieve this objective. When individual ecosystems bridge together in this way, it brings more capacity, capability and liquidity across the multi chain network.
Layer 1 Network Expansion
This cooperation with Avalanche takes the Layer-1 ecosystem to the next level, while at the same time Orbs is focusing heavily on developing the Layer 2 space as it this interoperability that will pave the way for the success of both Orbs and of the entire space.
Orbs, features a unique hybrid architecture, for a best of both worlds approach for its users, and is a key player within the DeFi realm. It plays host to 17 leading DeFi platforms including UniSwap, SushiSwap, Balancer, PancakeSwap, AnySwap, Kyber Networks, 1inch, Alpaca Finance, Beefy Finance, QuickSwap and DinoSwap to name a few.
Avalanche is no shrinking violet, as this decentralized blockchain promises super fast transaction speeds, an expansive ecosystem which is growing fast. It currently has more than 140 partners and counting with over 320 projects using its blockchain, these include SushiSwap, Chainlink, Circle and the Graph. All in all, Avalanche has $3.17B value locked in, which makes this the 6th largest chain in terms of DeFi value.

Call For Grants on Orbs
The Orbs project has also recently announced a call for grants in the Orbs Ecosystem Grant Program (OEGP). Winning applicants will be those that leverage the benefits of the Orbs Universe, using both Guardians and Delegators, to arrive at consensus through the Orbs protocol incentive layer.
The potential of Orbs is huge and growing fast as new and exciting integrations like this one with Avalanche are happening. The future of the blockchain realm is interoperability.
