Twitter is actively working on a new feature that allows users to put their non-fungible tokens (NFTs) in an avatar, according to a video published by Android Tech Lead at Twitter Spaces, Mada Aflak. The published demo demonstrates support of a new feature on Android devices. It remains unclear if Twitter is going to launch the feature for both iOS and Android devices at the same time.

While it remains unclear at what stage the feature is, the video shows that users with the Twitter app for Android devices will be able to connect to their digital wallets (e.g. MetaMask, Coinbase or Trust Wallet) to select an NFT. After selecting an NFT, users will get their tokens as an avatar with Ethereum check mark, showing the ownership of the token. It remains unknown if and when Twitter is going to add support for the NFT space.
The demo appears after Twitter announced its users can tip each other with bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin) using Strike – a payments application built on the Bitcoin Lightning Network. However, not all users can access the new feature at launch. So far, Strike is available only to users in El Salvador and the US (excluding Hawaii and New York).
