Lee says the drop pays "homage to our 87 year history while visualizing a future in which NFTs play a foundational role in novel ways of interacting with DC content and unlocking new experiences." As iHodl earlier reported, DC's main competitor, Marvel, also joined the NFT race by partnering with Orbis Blockchain. The company, in turn, distributed comic books, 3D statues, and digital collectibles through mixed reality on Orbis Blockchain's marketplace called VeVe.
