"We are excited to continue on our rapid growth trajectory with an innovative partner like WeWork that affords us the flexibility to pay using cryptocurrency – a technology whose future we vehemently believe in – as Revolut expands in the US and around the world," said Rhebecka D'Silva, Global Head of Real Estate at Revolut.
Besides Dallas, Revolut plans to offer its staff workplaces from WeWork in Berlin, Dublin, Melbourne, Moscow, Singapore and New York. WeWork's partnership with Revolut comes after the New York-based commercial real estate startup started accepting cryptocurrency payments in select assets through a partnership with BitPay and Coinbase. As iHodl reported, Coinbase also became the first WeWork member to use cryptocurrency "to pay for its WeWork membership."
With BitPay, WeWork now accept payments in bitcoin (EXANTE: Bitcoin), ether (ETH), USD coin (USDC), paxos (PAX), and several other cryptocurrencies. The real estate startup also said it will hodl cryptocurrencies on its balance sheet.
