The Solana validator community has successfully relaunched the beta version of the project's mainnet. For more than 16 hours no new blocks have appeared in it. The project developers wrote on Twitter:
"Dapps, block explorers, and supporting systems will recover over the next several hours, at which point full functionality should be restored."

The relaunch has occurred after the node's software was upgraded to version 1.6.25.
The Solana blockchain stopped issuing blocks on September 14 at approximately 15:00 CET. The project's founder, Anatoly Yakovenko, has said the network's resources were exhausted as a result of a spam transaction attack. The developers stated:
"Solana Mainnet Beta encountered a large increase in transaction load which peaked at 400,000 TPS. These transactions flooded the transaction processing queue, and lack of prioritization of network-critical messaging caused the network to start forking."
According to the team, this has led to excessive memory consumption resulting in some nodes going offline.
The Block analyst Larry Cermak has previously suggested Solana validators were running out of RAM.
