UK-based hedge fund Brevan Howard Asset Management has just launched a new division aimed at investing in the cryptocurrency industry, Reuters reports.
Colleen Sullivan, CEO of CMT Digital, which previously specialized in crypto asset trading and blockchain investments, has been appointed head of Brevan Howard Digital (BH Digital). Brevan Howard CEO Aron Landy said:
"Colleen's exceptional track record in making highly successful crypto venture investments will be of tremendous benefit to Brevan Howard clients and underscores the firm's commitment to rapidly expanding its platform and offerings in cryptocurrencies and digital assets."

Landy also noted BH Digital will allow the company to "significantly expand" its entry into the cryptocurrency sector. The division will handle private equity and venture capital investments.
