Financial conglomerate Morgan Stanley has invested in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC) through several funds available to its clients.
According to documents filed with the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the largest investments have been made by the Morgan Stanley Insight Fund, which has acquired 928,051 GBTC shares valued at $27,665,000, equivalent to 0.34% of its assets under management (AUM).

Other structures of the investment bank have also started owning Bitcoins: the Morgan Stanley Institutional Fund and the Morgan Stanley Variable Insurance Fund. These investments could reach up to 25% of the company's assets under management.
