73% of eToro's Q2 Trading Commissions Are Crypto-related

According to the results for the second quarter published last August 25 by trading company eToro, 73% of trading commissions are related to cryptocurrencies.

According to the document, during the second quarter of 2021 the company earned $362 million in trading commissions, while the company's assets under management (AUM) amounted to $9.4 billion.

Of that $362 million, $262.26 million or 73% was related to cryptocurrency trading on the platform, which is a spectacular increase of 2,259% compared to the $11.2 million recorded during the second quarter of the previous year.

In terms of overall trading volumes, these have increased by 125% compared to Q2 2020 due to "long-term secular trends in investor behavior," said the company CEO Yoni Assia.

According to the firm, investors have mainly traded BTC, XRP, ETH, ADA and DOGE.
