Solarisbank, a German Banking-as-a-Service company, has announced it signed a partnership agreement with Coinbase to provide the exchange with its know-your-client (KYC) infrastructure to verify users from Germany. The company said in a press release its technology allows users to pass the verification procedure without face-to-face interaction.

"By integrating our fully digital KYC platform, we enable paper-free, fast, and automated onboarding, meeting Coinbase's high standards for a frictionless customer experience," said Delia König, Managing Director Identity of Solarisbank.

Institutional Funds Will be Able to Invest in Cryptocurrencies in Germany

Coinbase's partnership with Solarisbank comes after Germany's financial watchdog, BaFin, granted the US-based exchange with permission to provide cryptocurrency custody services and trading. As of press time, Coinbase is the only cryptocurrency exchange to get such permission in Germany.
